A woman from St. Cloud has admitted to stealing $183,000 from a resort on Disney property. 44 year old Elizabeth Carpenter worked as an accounting technician at Shades of Green… which is owned by the Department of Defense and is situated on property owned by Disney. Carpenter pleaded guilty to stealing nearly $200,000 from the resort. Investigators say from July 2022 to March of this year, Carpenter used her access to guest accounts to transfer $183,079 to her personal accounts through 652 unauthorized transactions. She faces up to 10 years in federal prison and will have to forfeit the stolen funds. Her sentencing is set for November 12.
