A man from Southern Brevard County has been arrested for stealing at truck that he claimed came with a “free key.” Last Friday morning, a Micco homeowner woke up and found his blue Ford F-150 missing from his driveway. He called the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office to report it. Deputies later found the truck at Cumberland Farms, where they observed Steve Woods of Micco coming out of the store and getting into the truck. Woods told the deputies that he found the truck unlocked and a key on the floorboard, so he simply decided to take it for a ride. He was arrested and he’s now facing charges including grand theft of a motor vehicle. Woods was locked up behind bars in the Brevard County Jail with bond set at $2,500.
