Westgate Resorts has moved closer to breaking ground on a new hotel in Cocoa Beach. City commissioners gave initial approval to a development agreement for the six-story, multi-million dollar resort that will feature 116 rooms, two pools, and ocean views. While many residents support the project, concerns about increased traffic have been raised. Final approval could be granted in the coming weeks.
