UF President Stepping Down

University of Florida President Ben Sasse announced he will resign effective July 31st, citing family health issues as the primary reason. Sasse, who has led UF for nearly two years since November 2022, said that his wife Melissa’s recent epilepsy diagnosis and his own memory issues have made it necessary to step back to focus on his family. The UF Board of Trustees will now begin the search for a new president, while appointing an interim leader.
