135 Mile An Hour Chase On Interstate Ends With Arrest

A man faces multiple charges after leading Florida Highway Patrol on a high-speed chase through Volusia County. The pursuit began Monday afternoon when troopers attempted to pull over a black Kia K5 for aggressive driving on I-4. During the stop, 35-year-old Patrick Gordon and his female passenger switched seats, and he fled, reaching speeds of 135 mph. The chase ended when troopers used a PIT maneuver in DeLand, causing the vehicle to crash into a fence. Gordon, with an extensive criminal history and previous convictions, was arrested after a 45-minute search. The car was found to contain cocaine, fentanyl, and ammunition. Gordon is now in the Volusia County jail facing multiple felony charges.
