A large tropical wave moving west toward Florida has at last word, increased its chances of developing into a tropical depression this week, that according to the National Hurricane Center. Currently located east of the Leeward Islands, the wave right now is producing limited shower activity due to dry air. However, as it progresses into warmer waters, conditions are expected to improve. The system could form into a tropical depression by mid-to-late week near the Greater Antilles or the Bahamas. Formation chances are currently at 0% for the next 48 hours but now rise to 60% in the coming week. Meteorologists are closely monitoring the situation.
