Draper is expanding its future Strategic Enhanced Ground Test Facility in Titusville, adding an extra floor to accommodate more classified work for the U.S. Navy. The $60 million facility, set to begin construction this week, will feature a 32-foot-long centrifuge for testing Navy submarine ballistic missile guidance systems. With a new completion date of June 2028, the facility will employ over 140 staff and support the Navy’s Trident II D5 missile system. Draper is also working on a $2.2 billion contract for the missile’s next generation.
