Brevard County native Caroline Marks has won the gold medal in surfing at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Marks, a Space Coast Sports Hall of Fame inductee, secured her victory with a narrow margin of 0.17 points over Brazil’s Tatiana Weston-Webb. This is only the second time surfing has been included in the Olympics. At just 22 years old, Marks, who previously competed in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, continues to solidify her legacy as one of the sport’s top talents.
