Florida Tech Launches Aggressive Program Aimed At Pilot Shortage

Florida Tech is investing over $4 million to address the global pilot shortage by enhancing its aviation programs. On Tuesday, the university introduced eight new Piper Pilot 100i aircraft at a special ceremony in Melbourne. It aims to combat a projected shortage of up to 50,000 pilots by 2025. In addition to the new aircraft, Florida Tech will also invest $1 million in advanced flight simulators. The university’s aviation program has grown by 80% in the past three years.
