The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, along with agents from the Florida Gaming Control Commission, shut down four illegal gambling operations in Cocoa. The raid resulted in the seizure of $288,207 in cash, 158 illegal slot machines, and related equipment. One slot machine alone had accumulated $1.3 million in wagers without awarding jackpots. The operation also uncovered a handgun at one facility. Sheriff Wayne Ivey says arrests are pending as the investigation continues.
