Tax Holiday Underway Now

Florida’s second Disaster Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday of the year is underway. It began on Saturday and it runs through Friday, September 6. From now until then, eligible items for disaster preparedness will be exempt from sales tax. Items covered include coolers, flashlights, batteries, generators, and tarps, among others. However, the exemption does not apply to commercial purchases, sales within theme parks, or rentals of eligible items.
