The National Hurricane Center is now monitoring two tropical waves in the Atlantic, and they say the chances of “something” developing are increasing. The first, in the central Tropical Atlantic, now has a 50% chance of becoming a tropical depression by early next week. It’s expected to move west-northwest towards the eastern Caribbean Sea. The second wave, emerging off the coast of Africa, shows disorganized showers right now, with a low 20% chance of development by the middle of next week. Both systems are now being carefully watched as forecasters say they could eventually impact our weather. If anything does reach that point, it wouldn’t be felt here… if at all… until at least next weekend at the earliest.
