SpaceX Notches Another Success

Yesterday, SpaceX successfully launched five BlueBird satellites for AST SpaceMobile. It happened at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, where a Falcon 9 rocket lifted off at 4:52am, marking a key step in the goal to create a space-based broadband network for smartphones, aimed at providing direct-to-cell service, and extending connectivity to areas currently without cell coverage. The launch faced challenging weather conditions but in the end proceeded as planned and was successful. The first stage booster returned about 8 minutes after liftoff, and made a perfect landing back at the cape… along with some thunderous sonic booms.
