Tropics Getting Active

The National Hurricane Center is closely monitoring a new area of interest in the northwestern Caribbean Sea that forecasters say could develop into a tropical system by this weekend. While current models show differing paths, with some predicting a weak system affecting Mexico or Texas, other models indicate a possibly stronger system moving toward Florida. Still, it remains too early to determine the exact impact. The system currently has a 30% chance of development in the next seven days. Just a little reminder… although so far this year we have been fortunate in that there have been no major storms passing our way, Hurricane Season runs until the end of November, so stay prepared.
