In West Melbourne, a big and according to many, a long overdue cleanup has taken place, finally removing tons of trash that had accumulated over nearly a year. Residents near Dairy Road were relieved to see the junk company haul away nearly three tons of debris, including an RV filled with garbage. The cleanup follows months of unsuccessful attempts by neighbors to get results through code enforcement. The property owner, who lives out of state, is now scheduled for a code enforcement hearing and is reportedly planning to install a fence to prevent further dumping.
