Tropical Storm Helene is already disrupting cruise schedules at Port Canaveral, with the MSC Seashore’s arrival delayed from Thursday to Friday due to the storm. The U.S. Coast Guard may temporarily close the port as Helene strengthens into a Category 3 hurricane in the Gulf, with 115 mph winds expected along the west coast of Florida by Thursday night. Locally, the winds will not be nearly as severe, but four additional ships scheduled to arrive and depart Friday—Carnival Glory, Disney Wish, and two Royal Caribbean vessels—could also face delays.
