It seems like it’s been there forever, but it’s not standing anymore. Hurricane Milton left Ms. Apple’s Crab Shack along the Merritt Island Causeway, a well know waterfront destination since 1991, in ruins. The place was already closed for remodeling, but now it has suffered severe damage, with mangled beams, a collapsed patio roof, and crushed picnic tables. Neighboring Doc’s Bait House remained open. Now, plans for Ms. Apple’s future are uncertain.
