Canaveral National Seashore Cleanup Continues After Milton

The Canaveral National Seashore is still reeling from the effects of Hurricane Milton, including severe erosion and the loss of approximately 800 sea turtle nests. Flooding and extensive damage forced the park to close for several days, though some areas have recently reopened. National park rangers are on site, working to clear sand and debris from roads still buried after the storm, that brought at least 10 feet of storm surge. While some beach parking lots are now accessible, ongoing repairs to boardwalks and other infrastructure continue.
