Milton Proves Costly To Port Canaveral

After adding it all up, Port Canaveral suffered early $1 million in damages from Hurricane Milton, including canceled sailings and damage to Jetty Park. The financial impact total about $950,000, with an anticipated $200,000 reimbursement from FEMA. Despite these losses though, Port Canaveral is on track for a record year in passenger attendance and revenue, welcoming over 7.6 million passengers so far in 2024. Plans are now underway to upgrade terminals to accommodate even larger ships.
