Two rocket launches are on today’s schedule locally. The first one is sset to take off during a launch window that opens today at 12:07pm and closes this afternoon at 4:07. SpaceX plans to send a communications satellite for Koreasat into orbit from Launch Complex 39A a the Kennedy Space Center. The Falcon 9 rocket’s first stage is expected to return to the Cape Canaveral Landing Zone about 8 minutes after liftoff, meaning we are in for some loud sonic booms when that happens. Then, if current plans hold, SpaceX will also launch another Starlink mission later today, with liftoff of another Falcon 9 rocket from Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station set for a window that opens today at 4:02pm and closes at 7:44pm. The first stage booster in that flight will land on a barge in the Atlantic Ocean.
