Trump Nominates Brevard’s Weldon To Lead CDC

Dr. Dave Weldon, former Brevard County congressman and doctor, has been nominated by President-elect Donald Trump to lead the Centers for Disease Control. Weldon is a U.S. Army veteran, who represented the area from 1995 to 2008 and has been a critic of the CDC’s vaccine research. Known for his conservative stances, his nomination is seen as aligning him with other vaccine critics, including Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who has been nominated for Health and Human Services Secretary.
