Port Canaveral is celebrating following the arrival of the Caribbean Princess, its newest cruise ship and homeport addition. The 952-foot vessel, with a 1,200-member crew and capacity for over 3,000 guests, docked at Cruise Terminal #6 in a ceremony last week. The Brevard County port, which by the way, is now the second busiest port in the world after Miami, recently reported a 12% rise in annual revenue, much of it from cruise operations. The Caribbean Princess’s presence is expected to boost local tourism, supporting area hotels and businesses.
