19-year-old Jamarcus Simpson, who pleaded no contest to two counts of second-degree murder in the 2022 shooting deaths of 14-year-old Jeremiah Brown and 16-year-old Trayvon Anthony in Palm Bay, is facing delays in sentencing. The defendant requested a new attorney after his previous lawyer, Christopher Beres, missed a court date while in Cambodia. The judge has now scheduled a status hearing for December 18, after which a new sentencing date will be set.
