The Winn-Dixie store in Micco, near Barefoot Bay, will close on March 17th and transition to an ALDI. Southeastern Grocers informed employees of the upcoming change, offering 60 days’ notice. While some positions will be cut, workers can apply for roles with ALDI, which has acquired 500 Winn-Dixie locations across several states. Their plan is to convert some existing stores to the Aldi brand rather than building new ones.
