Former Governor MacKay Passes At 91

Former Florida Governor Buddy MacKay has passed away at the age of 91. MacKay, who briefly served as governor in 1998 after the death of Governor Lawton Chiles, was known for his role as Chiles’ lieutenant governor and his long career in public service. He also ran for governor and U.S. Senate, though he was never victorious. MacKay according to his family, peacefully passed away after a nap.
