A Fort Pierce man was arrested in connection to the murder of 20-year-old Aniya Sheppard in Brevard County. Sheppard’s body was discovered in West Melbourne on November 4th. Investigators say she had been in a romantic relationship with 22-year-old Travion Dean, who was seen leaving the area shortly after the shooting. Video footage also shows him taking Sheppard’s belongings from their motel room. Dean, who was arrested after returning from Jamaica, now faces charges of first-degree premeditated murder. He remains in custody without bond.
