Busy Lineup For Launches This Week

This week is shaping up to be a busy one for Space Coast rocket launches. The first full week of the new year calls for a SpaceX Starlink launch today from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, with a window opening at 12:21pm and closing today at 4:15pm. Then on Wednesday, another Starlink mission is scheduled to launch from The Kennedy Space Center during a window that opens at 10:24am and closes at 2:55pm. The first stage boosters used in both launches will land on drone ships in the ocean. Then on Friday, Blue Origin’s New Glenn rocket, built at its Merritt Island facility, is set to launch from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station sometime during a launch window that opens at 1am and closes Friday at 4:45am. The 320-foot heavy-lift rocket… the largest since the mighty Saturn V that took astronauts to the moon… will also feature a first-stage booster designed to land on a drone ship in the Atlantic.
