A deadly house fire just north of Melbourne on Saturday evening claimed the life of a woman, who has now been identified as Crystal Bankston. The blaze broke out around 5 p.m. at a rental home on Elm Drive in Palm Shores. Brevard County Fire Rescue quickly extinguished the flames, but Bankston’s body was found inside. The State Fire Marshal is investigating the cause, and they now say foul play has not been ruled out. The home was totally destroyed. Nobody else was hurt.
