$41 Million Beach Renourishment Project Now Taking Place In Brevard

A $41 million beach renourishment project is now underway at Canaveral Port. In partnership with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the initiative aims to restore beaches and maintain safe navigation through Canaveral Harbor. Dredging efforts will bypass 1.5 million cubic yards of sand to southern beaches, benefiting both coastal preservation and local tourism. The project, fully funded by the federal government, is expected to be completed before sea turtle nesting season begins.
