Port Canaveral is moving forward with plans to expand its cruise terminal capacity to meet growing demand. The Canaveral Port Authority has approved design work for a $3.6 million expansion of the port’s oldest and smallest terminal, Cruise Terminal 5 to allow it to accommodate larger ships and more passengers. Additionally, plans are underway to upgrade Cruise Terminal 2’s waterside area, potentially paving the way for a new, larger terminal. Port Canaveral by the way, is now the second-busiest cruise hub in the world.
