A new Florida bill, dubbed the “Fallen Tree Act,” could make property owners liable if trees or branches from their yard fall onto a neighbor’s property and cause damage. The bill also lets owners remove shared trees with 30 days’ written notice to neighbors. If passed, the law would take effect July 1.
