A car caught fire early this morning on Interstate 95 in Brevard County. The blaze, which fully engulfed the vehicle around 3 a.m. near mile marker 181 in the Melbourne area, caused all southbound lanes to be temporarily closed. Fire crews worked to extinguish the flames. At last word, the Florida Highway Patrol had not confirmed any injuries or the cause of the fire. Traffic was affected for several hours.
