A SpaceX Starship rocket disintegrated during its test flight Thursday evening, causing delays at Florida airports. The explosion, which occurred about 6:30pm in Texas, sent debris over the state, halting operations briefly at Orlando International Airport and causing delays at Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and Palm Beach airports. The FAA responded by activating a debris response area. Fortunately, no toxic materials were found in the wreckage, and flight operations resumed after a short period. SpaceX plans to investigate the mishap.
