A deadly crash happened Monday morning on northbound U.S. 1 in Melbourne, just north of Post Road. The Florida Highway Patrol says the driver of a Chevrolet Equinox failed to slow for traffic, striking a Honda motorcycle from behind. The motorcyclist was killed. The driver of a Volkswagen Tiguan was also hospitalized with injuries. Drivers of the other vehicles were uninjured, and troopers say the crash remains under investigation.
