Accused Titusville Murderer Denied Bond

David Barber, the man who is accused of murdering 72-year-old Jessie Kirk in Titusville, was denied bond in court Tuesday. Barber faces seven charges, including first-degree murder, arson, and abuse of a dead body. Police say Barber planned the crime, setting Kirk’s car on fire and attempting to cover his tracks. Evidence was found linking him to the murder, including items belonging to Kirk in his vehicle. Barber’s next court appearance is set for April 3. Meanwhile, a vigil for Kirk is scheduled for this Friday at Sand Point Park.
