The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is now telling Brevard County residents to be on the lookout for the invasive Argentine black and white tegu lizard, which is entering its breeding season. The large lizards, known to threaten native wildlife by eating eggs and small animals, have been spotted in 35 Florida counties now, including Brevard. Local residents are advised to report sightings to help control the spread.
