Gov. Ron DeSantis unveiled a proposal Thursday to regulate artificial intelligence, citing risks to consumers, jobs, and public safety. The “AI Bill of Rights” would allow local governments to block AI data centers, prevent utilities from passing costs to residents, and give parents access to conversations their children have with AI chatbots. The measures are expected to advance when the Legislature returns for the next session.
