A precautionary boil water advisory was posted Friday for Brevard County communities south of the Pineda Causeway. It was lifted Saturday after tests confirmed that the water was safe. Restaurants were able to stay open by using only bottled or boiled water for cooking, cleaning, and handwashing. Ice machines, soda fountains, and tap water however, were off-limits.
