Fire crews in Melbourne worked yesterday to contain a brush fire that burned more than 30 acres near John Rodes Boulevard and Enterprise Court. Called the “Digital Fire,” it was 95% contained as of late last evening. No homes were reported to be damaged, but the fire came close to residential areas and also at one point, threatened commercial properties. The cause is unknown. The recent warm, dry weather has raised wildfire risks across Florida. Several counties have issued burn bans.
