A manatee is safe after rescuers removed a fishing lure from its mouth on Melbourne Beach on Tuesday. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Research Institute, along with local teams from ZooTampa and Save the Manatee Club, worked together to free the animal. After a health assessment and the addition of some new tracking gear, the manatee was released.
