The Brevard County sheriff is defending two deputies after a nonprofit founder accused them of abandoning a homeless woman. Surveillance video shows deputies dropping the woman off twice at Matthew’s Hope in Cocoa—both times outside business hours. Sheriff Wayne Ivey says they were trying to get her help, not leave her stranded.
