Careersource to Close Rockledge Office, Reduce Staffing

CareerSource Brevard Flagler Volusia will close its Rockledge office by November and reduce staff following a sharp federal funding cut aimed at increasing efficiency and stopping waste, shrinking its budget from $17.9 million to $12 million for 2025-26. The agency plans to open two smaller “talent hubs” on the Cocoa campus of Eastern Florida State College and at a Brevard Public Schools site. Eighteen contractor employees were laid off. CareerSource’s own staff dropped by 4.
