A Brevard County woman says she’s lucky to be alive after a piece of metal flew through her windshield on I-95 near Viera. The object, identified as a tire stop, shattered the glass but missed her as she drove home from work. She managed to pull over safely and call 911. The Florida Highway Patrol praised her quick thinking and calm response, calling the incident a freak accident. The source of the debris remains unknown. No injuries were reported.
