A pedestrian was struck and killed by a Brightline train near U.S. Highway 1 and Masterson Street in Melbourne just before 4:30 Sunday afternoon. Melbourne police are treating the death as a possible suicide based on evidence found at the scene. Authorities are continuing their investigation and ask anyone with information to contact the Melbourne Police Department.
