Law enforcement agencies in Brevard County are starting a zero-tolerance traffic initiative on Interstate 95 today, aimed at reducing fatal crashes. The campaign, called “This is your only warning,” will see Brevard Sheriff’s deputies and Florida Highway Patrol troopers issuing citations for speeding, distracted driving, and seat belt violations without prior warning. Officials say the 72-mile stretch ranks among the deadliest on I-95. Sheriff Wayne Ivey and the Florida Highway Patrol say the crackdown applies to all drivers, local and out-of-state, with criminal violations leading to immediate arrests.
