Twelve new deputies graduated from the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Basic Recruit Training Program with a 95% academic average. Sheriff Wayne Ivey swore in the recruits Tuesday, who trained through Eastern Florida State College’s Law Enforcement Academy. The program included defensive tactics, vehicle operations, firearms training, and classroom instruction, preparing them for service here on the Space Coast.
