Parents gathered Tuesday at Cape Canaveral city hall to oppose the potential closure of Cape View Elementary, which has seen enrollment drop from 400 to 200 over the past decade. The Brevard Public Schools district is considering merging students with Roosevelt Elementary in Cocoa Beach. The school board will revisit the issue at a Nov. 18 meeting.
