A Cape Canaveral man was arrested for allegedly cashing 38 stolen checks from a 66 year old Cocoa Beach woman. 49 year old Elias Staker faces 38 counts of uttering forged checks and one count of scheme to defraud. Police say the investigation began after the victim’s bank flagged suspicious transactions. Staker is being held without bond at the Brevard County Jail.
