Central Florida Crews Work To Repair Roads After Flash Floods

Crews with the Florida Department of Transportation are repairing roads in Brevard and Lake counties following flash flooding from Sunday’s storms. Major repairs on U.S. 1 in Cocoa are now underway, include rebuilding shoulders and installing guardrails. Flooded off-ramps in Titusville have reopened, while water pumps continue to remove millions of gallons of water. The Red Cross sheltered 14 homeless people in Titusville, and local officials continue damage assessments as recovery efforts move forward.
