A Brevard County man who spent 23 years in prison for a 2002 murder he did not commit could receive more than $1 million in compensation. Jeffrey Abramowski was convicted in the death of Cortney Crandall but maintained his innocence. New DNA testing led to his release last year. A judge has recommended $50,000 for each year of wrongful imprisonment, and the case now goes to a circuit judge for a final decision.
